The Challenge
After moving into her new condominium, Shannon discovered that the existing bathroom was not accessible for her daily needs. As a full-time power wheelchair user, she had been living with a challenging shower situation since moving into her home the previous October. The traditional shower threshold prevented her from entering the shower in her wheeled rehabilitation shower/commode chair, making independent bathing impossible, and requiring alternative arrangements for personal care.
The homeowner wanted a permanent solution that would restore her independence while maintaining the beauty and value of her new home. The remodel required a fully accessible, barrier-free shower that would provide seamless entry, maximize safety, and accommodate her wheeled shower chair without compromising comfort or aesthetics.

The Results
The completed remodel dramatically improved the homeowner’s quality of life by restoring safe, independent access to her shower for the first time since moving into her condominium.
